Our Story: Decades of Innovation
What began in the 1980s as a local family business led by the Kawere family has evolved into one of Uganda’s most trusted brands in renewable biomass technology. Formally established as UGASTOVE Ltd, our journey was born from a direct need to solve two critical challenges: energy poverty and rapid deforestation.
Through rigorous performance testing, carbon finance partnerships, and community-first design, UGASTOVE has scaled production to thousands of cookstoves every month—expanding distribution centers to serve rural and urban communities where clean energy is needed most.
